"can you imagine v*gina hats at every community meeting?"

Actually yes, I can. All we are seeing now are "johnson" hats...what's wrong with leveling the playing field

I think they are afraid to tighten the screws on liberals for fear that they will be retaliated against......can you imagine v*gina hats at every community meeting?

A lawless country is a country in chaos. Which is what we see taking place in America today. Look how anarchist liberal leftist have begun to attack and destroy buildings and monuments at will. Someone needs to crack the whip and tighten the screws.

I listened to the whole video JT, and saw some good pointers.....but I still don't fear speaking to LEO's and think it's a bit paranoid of those who do.

If Wayne County is like most the cats and dogs will be put down if no one adopts them.

This is just another reason why you don't talk to the cops. If you are being investigated for a crime the cops are not there to help they are there trying to get evidence to use against you. But don't take my word for it just listen to this lawyer and the Detective that backs him up.

That is really screwed up, I wouldn't never leave my animals. I said the same thing. Better yet, why not chain them up during that hurricane season and see how long they can survive until help comes.

No I don't think it is about the money. Money grows on trees for government officials. There is no end to the money and no accountability or oversight. When people can loan each other someone else's money then forgive payment of the same loan we have a problem. All these people that have stole funds from schools, charities, and organizations never have to pay it back and only get a slap on the wrist. No it is not about the money. Most of these low management type people that get a job in government because uncle so and so or aunt mooch and bum could never make it in the real world. They like these jobs with "authority" where people MUST use them and MUST meet their demands. Like inspectors , tax collectors, license grantors, permit holders, and all others that can squeeze the average man and he cannot fight city hall. There is a certain type of personality that seeks these jobs. Money in not a problem, if they want it, they can steal it and not pay it back. It is all about POWER. These political dog catchers could not provide for these animals and don't like being shown up by someone else. It is not about the money, not about the dogs, not about compassion, it is all about usurping authority. Shame on them

If the people started tarring and feathering elected and non elected officials over stuff like this it wouldn't happen

I'm sure it all comes down to money. The county animal shelter probably gets funding based on how many animals they take in, so this lady taking in 27 animals cost them a few dollars.

She can fight it in court, pay attorneys fees, etc, and probably win. But the county department loses nothing by pushing those charges. Win or lose, she's heavily punished for daring to go against them.

This is such a sad story, and now look at how much negative press the county is getting for it! They should be ashamed.

Some people need to be treated the way they treat their digs.
. Tie them up and leave them a few days with a bowl of water and whatever they feed their dogs.
About 1/2 yr ago I paid 150.00 and rescued a Yorkie Pomeranian mix in a tiny outside cage laying in his urine and poop and his dog bowl was filled with something that looked like vomit. Also was abused. He would turn his face if your hand got to close to it and he had a hard time chewing. I think his face was squeezed at his mouth.
He stunk so bad. I got him home bathed which was a job cause he was so scared. I worked with him for about a month. He is calm, house broken and runs freely in his yard doing his business. Comes when called. You would never recognize he is the same dog I rescued!! He loves my other dog which is a Mini Pin Chihuahua mix. He goes on a tie out to do his business because his breed is a runner. They both go out together and come in together. My boys are inside dogs.

I live next door to a big dog imprisoned 24/7 in a dog lot, never gets out. I say if a human being can treat an innocent animal like that, they would treat a human being like that.

This is what happens when we let government officials go unchecked. I am sure the law was passed because of some bad shelter but as with most things its gotten out of hand

I don't believe in chaining at all....much less in a flooding situation. From what I could see, from the video.....that place was clean as could be and sometimes desperate situations call for desperate measures......ignorant call on the animal shelter's part, like they really had room for them anyway?......she risk her life to take in animals that were going to be abandoned.....I just don't understand. The law of the land is certainlt not perfect, and this is a harsh example.

until we start tarring and feathering some of the government officials you can expect it to get worst

I've read a lot about people evacuating from Florence and leaving their pets behind, often chained up or in lots so they can't even get away! And IMO, these pet owners should be facing criminal charges for animal cruelty, and shouldn't be allowed to have more pets.

But this really takes the cake.

This woman owns a non-profit that helps with vet bills. She has a large warehouse that she's turning in to a shelter, and when Florence came she offered to take in pets for people that couldn't evacuate with them. Volunteers came to help and stay with the pets until the owners could return, and she ended up with 27 animals.

Really nice and helpful, right? Deserves a pat on the back and a handshake from the county, right?

Nope... Wayne County Animal Shelter came and siezed the animals, and she may be facing criminal charges! Why? Because the warehouse isn't "formally registered as a shelter"
