You don't even live in Wilkes so why don't you just shut up? Don't think I haven't made calls and don't think for one minute that I haven't got out there and picked up loads of this **** and I'm getting sick of it when the county just sits back and lets these trash trucks and others go around with uncovered loads.

Inmates, or people convicted of crimes minor enough to warrant community service in stead of jail?
Goodwill and other places are already open for business, and checking these people in, and giving them tasks does not require any additional manpower or epxpense.
If you start putting these people on the side of the road to do cleanup, you have to have at least a couple of vehicles, and drivers. Plus, they need to have safety officers to monitor their well-being and follow state safety protocols. If a worker gets killed, there will be a huge lawsuit, and the state or county will be liable.
I'm all for inmates working to clean up trash.
