I guess the part where you are still not mandated to purchase or drive an EV or gasoline vehicle.

Nor is it a 100% stop on manufacturing combustion engines, as fukanose stated.

Hey shouldadolly, what part of this are YOU failing to comprehend?

"The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) final rule for its tailpipe emissions standard-which mandates that two-thirds of all new vehicles be electric by 2032"

UnoFire

"The agency is not mandating this level of electric vehicle sales. Instead, it's proposing to require that automakers limit the greenhouse gas emissions coming from their fleets - which could be done by making more of their vehicles electric or by upgrading the gasoline-powered engines in their cars."

UnoFire

That STILL does not MANDATE you to drive or even buy an electric vehicle.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Seventeen states have historically followed California's regulations, but so far only Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon,Rhode Island and Washington have announced they'll enforce the Advanced Clean Cars II rule and prohibit the sale of new gasoline-powered vehicles. By 2035

Hey shouldadolly, coulda YOU tell us how YOU really feel about this inconvenient revelation?

The Biden administration is doubling down on its rush-to-green agenda that forces Americans to drive unaffordable, less reliable electric vehicles. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) final rule for its tailpipe emissions standard-which mandates that two-thirds of all new vehicles be electric by 2032-only benefits the Chinese Communist Party. As Chairs Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Buddy Carter (R-GA) said, President Biden should abandon his radical agenda and let Americans choose what vehicle best suits their needs.

You got just enough sense not to 5hlt yourself.

Try ending fossil fuel and stopping production of combustible engines. You are not worth of response, what was I thinking?

Metal, sounds a lot like the sterotype of the subarus....

Fukanose, what has the government mandated that you do in regards to EV or gas?

|METALTRUCKER|

Is it the argument of the GOP on here that we should not invest in alternative fuels on the hope that we discover more oil?

Anonymoose

Will the national guard need to ride the public transportation system like they do in NY for safety purposes.

Personally, I prefer to cover all of my bases. And it seems like common sense that we should work on viable alternatives just in case we do run out. For all I know, all of the pollution might create a system where the clouds start pouring crude oil from the skies! But it doesn't seem wise to risk the entire fate of the world on that possibility.
