I believe Martha Jean's married name was McNeil. The Doe Network lists it as McNiel.

I was hoping you might have some info for me.

My Mother Candice Roberson was killed in Wilkes County in 1987. She was married to Perry Roberson. Perry was the son of Clegg and Mary(?) Roberson. I believe that they had somewhere around seven children, one of which was killed over 20 years ago (hit by a car).

Well, to get to my point. When my mother was killed in 1987 her husband (Perry Roberson) and father in law (Clegg Roberson) were serving prison terms for distribution and drug trafficking. I believe that they may have had something done to her. The case has never been solved. I was a stepdaughter of Perry and never knew much about the Roberson family.

My point is, I am looking into writing a book about my Mother's death and I am looking for history on this family. If you know anything, please e-mail me.

candy roberson was shot when she opened her door in the shepards cross roads area.her husband perry had just been arrested for being involved in a major drug ring.anyone remember this?around 95-96 maybe.never a suspect or any leads that i know of.the bad part is someone went to her house when the funeral was going on and stole 4 wheelers.they caught the scumbags that did this but never who murdered candy.

I'm from here (well mostly), and only knew of Jeff Combs... Wow, it does seem like a lot of people just vanish. How terribly sad that their families never had any closure.

Wow! Not being from here, I hadn't heard of all of these people missing. Seems like a high percentage of disappearances for such a small town!

I wonder how many things did people remember later that might of helped the searches at the time. Or what secrets were and are people keeping ?

Renee was last seen on May 14, 2004 at approximately 3:57 a.m. when she clocked out of work in the vicinity of the 700 block of Factory St. in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. She left her job en route to her residence but never arrived. Renee's vehicle is also missing and is described as a white, four door, 1993 Chevrolet Corsica with a dent to the driver's side front panel and North Carolina License Number SNJ-1523. There have been reported sightings of her, or of her car, and reports that she's living in Mexico with friends. However, Renee's family doesn't believe that she would willingly leave her baby daughter behind.

Her two children Justin and April were 4 and 6 when Martha Jean vanished.

I have never heard of her. Was she from Wilkes? I remember the Angie Hamby missing person and the Jeff Combs but wasn't aware that there was another one.
