CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's mandate -- the controversial provision upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday -- doesn't require everyone to buy insurance.

i think i sound like a conservative when i post what i do. get off the free medical ride and buy insurance.
every person that is on public assistance is supposedly a freeloading liberal ... so i guess i am speaking to them ... not a fine conservative like yourself that obviously is doing the right thing and carrying insurance on your family.
you can't afford it???? well do what good conservatives say to do ... cancel your internet and get onboard. stop drinking, smoking, and any meals out of the house. get your priorities straight.
don't you love your family? don't you want to do what is best for them? do you really need to be mooching off people who are buying insurance?

Yeah, I can feel the Love from the democrats. If you have the misfortune of not being employed (WHICH EVERYBODY THAT IS UNEMPLOYED IS NOT A DEADBEAT) or poor, or have serious and costly health issues and you don't have the money those Democrats in Obamacare will let you die. And just a note..did you know that the mandate also says a tax fine and or jail time.. read for yourself before you start bashing. All you have to do is google it.

everyone pays for medical care, whether it is in higher premiums or out of pocket. deadbeats who do not want to pay for insurance, are the first one to raise cain about getting top quality care when they get sick and want the hospital or government to pay for their care. thanks goodness that O finally is on the way to improving the medical system.

If we have to have Obamacare, why can't we have government policy to dictate that people have their own heating fuel/ heating source in cold weathwer as well as a forced Christmas Club with all direct deposits and governmen assistance so that everyone will have a good Christmas? LOL

I agree.

I didn't state anywhere in my post, nor did I imply, it was your job to pay their bills. I was merely pointing out an issue with Obamacare. Try reading a little slower next time.

Exactly. This was the Republican Mantra 15 years ago when they were wanting to pass the individual mandate. Now they're up-in-arms because a Democrat got their plan passed without their help.
It's funny to watch them melt down every time someone mentions that.

Is it my job to pay their bills? It's no different than public assistance. People use the ER, don' pay, and my premiums go up. Am I also expected to rework their budgets so they can afford insurance?
What happened to your conservative values?

And those who have no job and can not find one, cannot afford insurance and will have to pay a tax penalty. How are these people going to be able to pay a penalty when they can't even afford insurance to begin with. This will affect approximately 6 million people.

Obamacare is crap. How can they think it is right to charge a tax penalty for not buying insurance.

When Obamacares individual mandate takes effect in 2014, all Americans who file income tax returns must complete an additional IRS tax form. The new form will require disclosure of a taxpayers personal identifying health information in order to determine compliance with the Affordable Care Acts individual mandate.
As confirmed by IRS testimony to the tax-writing House Committee on Ways and Means, taxpayers will file their tax returns reporting their health insurance coverage, and/or making a payment.
So why will the Obama IRS require your personal identifying health information?
<Simply put, there is no way for the IRS to enforce Obamacares individual mandate without such an invasive reporting scheme.< Every January, health insurance companies across America will send out tax documents to each insured individual. This tax documenta copy of which will be furnished to the IRSmust contain sufficient information for taxpayers to prove that they purchased qualifying health insurance under Obamacare.
