A kid's scholarship isn't tied to solely winning a high school championship. Good Lord. If she has talent, a college will (did) find her.

She won other state championships and she did get a scholarship.

That's a lot of assuming...scholarships don't just go to state champs (oddly, colleges do recruiting) and just because you lose in high school doesn't mean you lose for the rest of your life. Seems to be a poor lesson to learn.

If that girl had won four state championships then she would have received scholarships from all over the country. Maybe qualify for the Olympics. Sponsorships. She will never know.
