Myself, I am a bit of an outlaw. Someone told me once that you would never get a ticket if you go 5 miles over. When I am on the interstate I always set the cruise comtrol to 5 miles over the limit. People, transit trucks, all sorts of folks speed by me, and still...I am such an outlaw.

I got a ticket once while hurrying to Molly's Diner near Bath NY. I was quite hungry and it was getting late. It was snowing at the time. The trooper took me into town to pay the fine and he drove like a maniac getting there. I don't recall what the fine was. In those days traffic tickets where very reasonable. Speeding tickets under 15 miles were $5 in PA.

My favorite aunt used to speed all the time, back in the day. The way she told the stories, she figured her time was more valuable than the cost of the tickets. As kids, we thought, “Dang! you’re rich!” Which she was.
One time while transporting grandma somewhere she was in a car accident. She was not speeding at the time but proceeded through a green light and some dude coming the other way rammed into her passenger side sending grandma to the hospital where grandma died of her injuries.
I will never forget that funeral, my auntie wore a black veil. I never saw a woman with her face covered like that.
Then she just never minded speeding, so long as she was on the expressway. One time, my cousin said, “Slow down! Are you trying to kill us?” She said, “Shut up! I’m driving! Do you want me to pull over and leave you on the side of the road?” I do not know what was going on with my family, but if we fussed in the back seat, they were always going to pull over and leave us on the side of the road.

That very well may be, antsy.

However, in New York State it is not.

Why drag this thread with that factoid ?

In some states, driving over 100mph is a felony

Besides a smear of a FoxNews host, what is the intent of this thread ?

She pled guilty, paid her fine and will comply with the court's order.

Her occupation has nothing to do with getting caught speeding.

What more do you want ?

She may as well have been targeting transgender native American Buddhists.

Wow, pleaded down from 119 to 95?

I'm sorry, but 119 in a 65 is just reckless and irresponsible, I don't care who you are.
