This is a locked thread, containing the confirmed evidence linking Stoney Greene to dogfighting.

I might copy other posts here from other users that chronicle other confirmed illegal activities.

Here's a 2 minute video that I created in an attempt to give a brief summary of what's going on, for those that haven't been keeping up:

The video is posted now, look at Item M:

If the direct link doesn't work, you can go here and click on "Regular Meeting" next to April 16:

Another user sent this to me, it's only about 1 1/2 minutes but it's the audio from the discussion:

The county website will probably include the full video of the meeting tomorrow, this was the last thing before they adjourned.

Interesting development, the Wilkes Republican Party sent a letter to the Board and asked for Stoney to step down as it would be in the best interest of the county. Greg Minton moved for him to step down, Keith Elmore seconded the vote. The board voted 4 to 1 asking Stoney to resign (with Stoney being the dissenting vote).

He did not step down, of course, but this was a big vote.

I was able to confirm that there is a "Rule to Show Cause" hearing as described by @sxswva:

The page doesn't seem to give any information on what this means, but I found this regarding "Rule to Show Cause" in South Carolina:

Purdy sure the Go feller posted a letter from a young lady's lawyer telling SG to cease and desist also spreading her intimates amongst some judges and such. Go feller, can you bring thatun to the top here for younguns to peruse? Not the noodies, only the letter will suffice.

It's also worth noting that, when the video of the meeting is released, you can watch who applauds after each public comment and who sits there silently. I thought that was pretty interesting.

I went to tonight's meeting, so I have my own breakdown:

It's true that Stoney Greene officially stepped down as Chairman at 4:59pm, just before the meeting. There was no real discussion about it, and Casey Joe Johnson (Vice Chairman and presumptive Chairman) led the meeting.

There were 9 people signed up to speak. 7 of those comments were about Stoney and dogfighting.

I didn't note the order, but Megan Barnett was one of the first to speak. She started out by reading an excerpt from article that stated that dog fighters were typically sociopaths that enjoyed hurting animals... and from there it got less friendly

Victor Varela, former mayor of Ronda, also spoke out and questioned Stoney's ability to lead.

Wayne Pacelle, former CEO of Humane Society of the United States and founder of Animal Wellness Action (and the author of the statement posted on here a few weeks ago) flew in from DC to speak in favor of the FIGHT Act, and to condemn the local dog fighters / c*ckfighters.

Another man, Blane (something) flew in from Oklahoma to speak out against the FIGHT Act.

Stoney Greene did not comment throughout the entire meeting.

Later, Commissioner Greg Minton read the resolution to support the FIGHT Act, and Commissioner Keith Elmore seconded it. The resolution passed unanimously (even Stoney Greene voted in favor).

Then they went into closed session. I have not yet confirmed whether Stoney Greene will be removed from his appointed board positions or if he'll be stepping down entirely, but I'll update once I've confirmed anything.

Also WXII news was there, and even someone from Washington DC that broke the story on the internet about his dogfighting past.

For the record, it broke on GoWilkes Me and another guy (anonymous until he says otherwise) brought it to Mr. Pacelle's attention, not the other way around.

Someone just sent me a copy of an exchange between Stoney Greene and the ADBA. The ADBA had posted a picture of a dog named "Mr. Stone" in 2021 with a "Ch" notation (which the Humane Society and FBI recognize to mean that the dog has won 3 pit fights), to which Stoney replied and referenced Stone Hard Kennels.

That's not exactly a smoking gun, but it's clear that Mr. Greene was at least aware of the dog fight in 2021.

I have been given permission to publicly state that the connection between Stoney Greene and Killer Klown Kennels was given to me by Private Investigator Macks Pickett, https://www.mackspickett.com

GoWilkes

Posted 2:40 pm, 03/04/2024

I can also confirm that the telephone number on the Killer Klown Kennels poster (336 984-5841) was registered in Lynda Greene's name.

There is absolutely no denying the connection of this kennel to dog fighting. A simple search found this article in 2013 that gives a detail account of one of their pit fights:

In case that page disappears:

GoWilkes

In addition to his recent connection to ADBA, it's also worth noting that her statement refers to the notations of Ch, GrCh, and POR coming exclusively from dog fighting.

The page for Stone Hard Kennels, posted in 2020, uses these notations for several of the dogs:

GoWilkes

Posted 2:30 pm, 03/04/2024

There have been several posts showing Mr. Greene's connection to the ADBA; guest judge at events, photos with known dog fighters, etc.

Janette Reever, the Program Manager Animal Crimes and Investigations from the Humane Society International (and expert on criminal dogfighting) sent this to me about the ADBA:

The American Dog Breeder Association (ADBA) has long been the pedigree registration of choice
for dogfighters. Founded in 1909 and utilized by the founding fathers of the blood sport in the
Unites States, the ADBA, originally the "Pit Bull Breeders Association," proudly registered and
promoted fighting dogs. Current leadership is comprised of children of self-proclaimed
dogfighter Ralph Greenwood.

Not all registrants with ADBA fight dogs, but it is the preferred registry for those who do. ADBA
allows dogfighters to keep and record titles earned/won during illegal fights, such as Ch
(champion), GrCh (grand champion) or POR (Producer of Records - each dog is given one point
towards a POR for each win of their immediate offspring. A male must have 15 points and a
female must have 10 points to get the title of POR. Champion offspring will net the sire and dam
one extra point. Grand champion offspring will net two extra points for the sire and dam).

The ADBA continues to promote the preservation of the game dog through weight pulling shows
(a method commonly used to condition and strengthen fighting dogs) and conformation shows.
Criminals engaged in dogfighting commonly claim their dogs are used strictly for conformation
and/or weight pulling events. Founded in the late 70's, these competitions remain a means to
legitimize the conditioning equipment commonly used for a dog in a "keep," and create a large
networking opportunity that will not raise red flags with law enforcement officers. For example
in 2017 we assisted Calhoun County, MI with a dogfighting case and testified as an expert on
dogfighting in court. The defendant, Javaan James, provided his primary defense that the
conditioning equipment was for ADBA weight pulling and confirmation shows. He had an expert
testify at his hearing and I was able to disprove his testimony and he was found guilty.

Many of the ADBA judges are well known and infamous in the dogfighting world.

Some contestants are legitimate and do not participate in dogfighting, but ADBA competitions
are unsanctioned by the International Weight Pull Association and often criticized by the
national community for condoning the use of small animals as "bait." More reputable dog
contests disqualify a dog for aggression, but ADBA rewards this behavior.

I try not to get in the middle of these things, but I wanted to mention that, when I was confirming the connection, I found this that was posted in 2020:

You can see that several of the dogs have notes like (1XW), which means that they won 1 time in a pit fight. That was all posted only 4 years ago.

And you can see that some of the dog names are identical to the dog names for Killer Klown Kennels, which is a known dog fighting breeder:

And since the press release from Animal Wellness Action is now on the second page, I wanted to reiterate one important statement from Wayne Pacelle:

"Based on my involvement in working to dismantle animal fighting operations over 30 years, I believe there is sound support for the claim circulating in Wilkes County that Stoney Greene was meaningfully involved for at least some period of years in the barbaric practice of dogfighting."

I just received this press release that's been sent out:

Animal Wellness Action Calls Out N.C. House Candidate Long Associated with the Barbaric and Criminal Practice of Dogfighting

Animal welfare group urges voters in House District 94 to vote for 'anyone but long-time dogfighting enthusiast Stoney Greene in the March 6th primary.

(Washington, D.C.) - Animal Wellness Action today urged Republican primary voters in North Carolina House District 94 to reject Wilkes County Commissioner Stoney Greene in his quest for that seat because of compelling evidence pointing to his involvement in the criminal enterprise of dogfighting.

In a multi-candidate race, Mr. Greene, who is chairman of the Wilkes County Board of Commissioners, is considered one of the frontrunners for the solid-red state House district. North Carolina is one of several states with primaries on March 5th.

Mr. Greene, according to informants and to key primary source documents, operated kennels featured in known dogfighting websites where he allegedly sold and bred pit-bull type dogs (e.g. Killer Klown Kennels and Stone Hard Kennel); noted his connection to two most infamous dogfighters-Ed Farron (from Wilkes County) and Tom Garner-and described them as "very influential in my knowledge" of pit-bull-type dogs; and was arrested in 2002 for dogfighting in Dover Township in New Jersey along with more than 40 others at a staged animal-fighting event (Asbury Park Press, June 27, 2002).

Transporting dogs across state lines for fighting was a federal crime at the time of his arrest, and in New Jersey, dogfighting was considered a felony offense and outlawed in every other state in the nation.

Some of the details described above have been posted on GoWilkes.com. Animal Wellness Action has reviewed this information and confirmed concerns about Stoney Greene and his past involvement with dogfighting, deeming them 'highly plausible."

"Based on my involvement in working to dismantle animal fighting operations over 30 years, I believe there is sound support for the claim circulating in Wilkes County that Stoney Greene was meaningfully involved for at least some period of years in the barbaric practice of dogfighting," said Wayne Pacelle, president of Animal Wellness Action, a national organization that promotes legal standards against cruelty and specializes in combating animal fighting. "I do not know if he's continued to engage in trafficking of fighting animals or is now entering dogs into staged combat. Involvement in dogfighting, or support for dogfighting-perhaps one of the most reprehensible of forms of animal cruelty-is disqualifying for public office."

The highest-profile enthusiast for dogfighting was former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who publicly renounced the activity and advocated for stronger policies against the practice. Dogfighting is now a felony in every state, including North Carolina, and it is a federal felony. Animal Wellness has not come across statements from Mr. Greene, during his career in public service, where he's spoken out against the cruelty of dogfighting.

Animal Wellness Action has previously discovered that c*ckfighters maintain an extensive network of c*ckfighting operations in North Carolina. Jeff Hudspeth, of Cedar Creek Game Fowl Farm and a known c*ckfighter from Wilkes County, is a major donor to Stoney Greene's campaign for U.S. House.

Congress is now considering the FIGHT Act, H.R. 2742 and S. 1529, to crack down on dogfighting and c*ckfighting in a more determined way. With more bipartisan support than any other animal welfare bill in this Congress, the FIGHT Act has nearly 500 endorsing agencies and organizations, including 200 law enforcement agencies. It would strengthen existing federal law against dogfighting and c*ckfighting by allowing a private right of action against dogfighters and c*ckfighting, banning on-line gambling on animal fights, allowing for criminal forfeiture of equipment and properties used in the commission of these crimes, and enhancing prohibitions on shipping fighting roosters through the U.S. mail.

Im sorry however, the paperwork seems "cutoff" and doesn't tell the entire story. Show me charges other than tresspassing and gambling charges

@Appman1, the screenshots I posted were just sections of 3 different articles that included his name. If you want to read the entire articles, I can only suggest that you create a trial account with them so that you can access the full article:
https://app.newspapers.com/...y%20greene

The one dated June 27, 2002, is about "the largest arrest for dogfighting in the state". 43 people were arrested, including Stoney Greene.

Have you been contacted by Stoney? Have you been contacted by republicans asking you to delete posts?

@weatherman4, no to both questions. I am absolutely positive that both are aware of it, though.

Hopefully, not from lawyers

Hahaha, @Grrranimal, no, just from media outlets.

From past experience, they should all be well aware that I'm not removing anything that can be verified, and those types of demands have historically backfired on them. I've always been a huge advocate of the First Amendment (obviously), and I'll always fight to defend it to the best of my ability.

The arrest for charges related to dogfighting are definitely confirmed. I have been given access to the Asbury Park Press articles from the time of the arrest, and am providing screenshots here:

I have been able to successfully link "Killer Klown Kennels" with dog fighting. This was sent to me:

Those dog names led me to this site, which is clearly about dog fighting:
In case the page disappears, here is a screenshot:

https://www.gowilkes.com/pm_cache/GoWilkes/11154192_0.jpg

There's even a page on that site about a match in 2009, which dog won, etc. So they're not even trying to hide it!

I also found this flyer for Killer Klown Kennels:

The phone numbers no longer lead anywhere, but I found this article that had "S.T.P.'s Clean Mary" listed (name from the above flyer) and shows "Stone Hard Kennel" as the breeder and owner:

And when you click on it, the destination is:

That page shows "Killer Klown" as the owner. This makes it pretty clear that "Killer Klown Kennels" at least has a connection to "Stone Hard Kennel".

You can also see that it says "1XW", which apparently it means that the dog won "in the pit" once:
At the very least, "Stone Hard Kennels" is verified to have bred and owned at least one dog that is a champion "in the pit". But looking at the online-pedigrees.com page, I can see that at least 6 of them have a notation of XW; including "Barracuda" which is (9XW) (implying 9 wins).

I have not been able to verify the dog fighting yet, and it looks like the New Jersey office closes at 4:30. I don't expect to hear any further today.

I was, however, able to verify the connection between Jeff Hudspeth and c*ckfighting. This is an ad he ran in 1998:

The World Slasher Cup International" mentioned in the ad is definitely a c*ckfighting organization in the Philippines:

I have been able to verify his involvement at least until 2021:
