The ZAP Fitness Girls on the Run of the High Country 5K on May 3rd is the culminating event of the 10-week GOTR program. Open to the public and all GOTR participants in Wilkes, Ashe, Avery and
Watauga counties, the run is very much anticipated by girls and their families as well as community running buddies. As a celebration of determination, confidence and individuality, participants of all ages will enjoy pre-race dancing, hair painting, cheering and the parade of teams.

Girls on the Run inspires girls in the 3rd-8th grade to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Our lessons focus on developing essential life skills with the outcome of strong, contented and self-confident individuals who intentionally choose an authentic and healthy lifestyle.

Registration is $15.00 and long sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed if registration is received by April 14. April 15th until May 3, registration is $20 and t-shirts will be given away until the supply is depleted!
