A Summer Evening with Mark Twain�

The Hiddenite Center and The Alexander Friends of the Library have joined in partnership to present a unique event that perfectly pairs literary and performing arts. �Wit, Wisdom, & Wisecracks: A Summer Evening with Mark Twain,� features renowned actor and musician, Barrie Howard as the legendary American author and humorist.

This unique event will begin at 7:00 pm. Admission to this family friendly event is affordably priced at only $5 per person. Traditional southern sweet tea and dessert will be offered for sale during intermission with all proceeds benefiting The Hiddenite Center and The Alexander Friends of the Library.

During the show, audiences will be captivated by Barrie Howard�s uncanny resemblance to Twain and his ability to tell a good tale. Howard�s performance is based on Mark Twain�s speeches, short stories, and books, making his interpretation both accurate and entertaining. Much of Howard�s performance is a result of direct interaction with the audience. In true homage to Mark Twain, the show is filled with wit and spontaneity. In fact, the actor seldom performs two shows exactly the same way.
