The first meeting of the Wilkes Community Youth Singers will be held this Thursday, Feb. 9th, at the Wilkesboro Baptist Church from 6:30 to 8 PM. This choir is open to any 8-12th grade student in Wilkes County. There is absolutely no cost to attend or join the choir, and we will work on preparing a program of music to present at the end of this semester, sometime in late April. Thursday's meeting will be a general meet-and-greet, as well as some basic singing to judge the choir's level, and some discussion about goals for the future. Pizza will be provided.
