WCC Welcomes N.C. Author Anna Jean Mayhew

Wilkes Community College will welcome North Carolina author Anna Jean Mayhew for a book signing and reading from her debut novel �The Dry Grass of August,� the title chosen for this year�s Wilkes Reads Together community read. Mayhew makes two appearances in Wilkes County on October 8. She will speak to the WCC community, Wilkes Early College High School students and students from all four Wilkes County high schools in Bumgarner Gymnasium in Randolph Hall at 1:30 p.m. She then speaks and signs books at Wilkes County Public Library starting with a reception at 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend either or both events.
