Spay Neuter Assistance Program is provided by the all volunteer Humane Society of Wilkes to help low income families in Wilkes County to get their pets fixed and reduce overpopulation of unwanted pets.
Primary requirement is annual income (family or individual pet owner) of $35,000 or less.
Proof of income is required: W-2, Bank Statement, Tax Return, Check Stub, Social Security Notice, etc.
If you receive either Food Stamps or Medicaid you only need to bring your EBT or Medicaid Card. No other proof of income necessary.
Annual Income from 0 - $15,000 Spay/Neuter Dog or Cat $25
Annual Income from $15,000 to $35,000 $35
You must pay the above amount at time of sign up (cash or check only).
You will then receive a voucher which will be used to pay for the surgery at one of the participating Vets: .

Call the Vet of your choice from the above list and make your pet an appointment and be sure to take your voucher with you to that appointment.
