SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) sign-ups at the library EVERY Tuesday evening from 6-7PM. Program is sponsored by the Humane Society of Wilkes VOLUNTEERS to assist ALL income levels to get their pets spayed/neutered and reduce pet overpopulation in Wilkes County.

Also, be prepared to PAY the full amount due because we issue you a voucher to take to the participating Vet to pay for the procedure. Cash or Checks only (no debit/credit cards).

FOR EXAMPLE: Person with income at or below $15,000 per year - cat or dog spay/neuter will cost $25 (a SAVINGS of between $75-$100 depending on the Vet). If pet is NOT current with rabies vaccination there will be an additional charge of $7 for rabies vac. bring the total to $32.

Income above $15,000 but LESS than $35,000 per year - Dog spay/neuter $55, Cat $40. With rabies vac. total would be $62 & $47.
