SAFE, Inc. invites local men to participate in �Face the Facts,� a 'battle of the beards' to create awareness and raise funds for SAFE. The beard growing contest begins Wednesday, Feb. 22nd with a rolling kick off event from 7:30 until 9:00 a.m. at the Dine-n-Dash at 1299 S. Collegiate Drive in Wilkesboro. Clean shaven contestants will have their �before� pictures made, and they�ll receive �Ask Me About My SAFE Face� buttons to wear throughout the competition. The competition will continue through April 5th. At the campaign finale, prizes will be awarded for Best Styling, Most Unusual Beard and Top Fund �Razor'. "Face the Facts" is a fun way for men to take a visible stand against domestic and sexual violence.
