Public Event · by velocipede

Wednesday, Apr. 8, 2015

Artist and domestic violence survivor Michelle Johnson Major will speak at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8th in the Mayes Pit/Cohn Auditorium at Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro. In 2008, Michelle Major's husband attacked her. Before strangling her unconscious, he took a butcher knife to ninety four of her paintings, destroying twelve years of artistic work. Major will display her artwork and share the compelling story of her journey from victim to survivor. For more information, please call event sponsor SAFE, Inc. at (336) 838-9169.
