We are having our monthly OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, January 11, 2014 and everyone is invited to come have lots of fun with the Trains. For the tykes we have 2 Thomas The Tank layouts that they can operate by themselves (you'll have to carry them out when its time to go home) and for the Young at Heart (us older folks) we have a Large HO Scale layout that will run more that 10 trains at the same time. We have recreated the Town of North Wilkesboro in the 1950's, around the Depot area, which brings a little nostalgia to lots of folks; the rest is free lance with lots of different scenery, bridges, trestles, orchards of apples and peaches (like on NC 16) and even a "still". As we are a NON Profit organization there is no admission fee, however, donations are greatly appreciated to help defray costs of operations and maintenance of equipment, so come on down and have some fun between 10 am. and 2:00 PM.
