A Natural Dyeing demonstration will take place on the grounds of Fort Defiance this Saturday from 10 to 4. Come and learn about the techniques and plants used in the 18th century by the Lenoir family. A special display of quilt pieces will be on hand to see some of the colors achieved in the 18th and 19th centuries. Admission to the grounds is free. A suggested donation of $2 is encouraged to help cover the cost of materials. Tours of the house are regular admission of $7 per adult and $5 for children, under 5 is free and may be purchased in the visitors center.
