Mental Health First Aid instructor Belinda Smithey

The Friends of the Library is pleased to host Mental Health First Aid instructor Belinda Smithey at the Wilkes County Public Library Thursday, May 21, from 4:30 -- 5:30 p.m. in the Friends of the Library Meeting room on the lower level of the Library. The talk is free and open to the public. Ms. Smithey, a retired sociology instructor from Wilkes Community College, will speak on the innovative and international program "Mental Health First Aid," which is viewed by many to be to mental health events what CPR is to heart attacks.
