Author Ritchie Greer, son of Ervin and Peggy Greer, will be at the Wilkes County Public Library on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 5:30pm for a book talk event in which he will share more about his historical fiction novel, Running South, which was published on April 30, 2014. Running South is the story of three kids who escape from a slave plantation and embark on an unforgettable journey that changes the course of history.

Ritchie Greer is a native of Wilkes County, having graduated from West Wilkes High School in 1988. He went on to attend Wilkes Community College where he was voted Student Body President by his peers. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and has just completed his 17th screenplay. He is working on his 2nd and 3rd novel entitled Abalus and the Adventures of The Mud Mud Gang and Rain Dancer which are both scheduled to be released in the spring of 2015.

After his talk, Ritchie will be on hand to sign copies of his book and answer questions from those in attendance.
