Sponsored by the Yadkin River Greenway Council to dedicate new sections of the Yadkin River Greenway and to promote usage of the greenway and other civic group activities. Celebratory festivities, exhibits, music and children�s activities. It is also World Turtle Day as designated by the Humane Society of the United States. Festivities followed by the Turtle Regatta race on the river at D Street Bridge in North Wilkesboro. Adopt your turtle for $5 and you will enter to win one of many outstanding door prizes.
