Friends of W. Kerr Scott Lake, in partnership with Dixie Donuts and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, have announced their inaugural �Dixie Dash 5K Challenge� which will be held on Saturday, September 15th at Dam Site Park.

This demanding 5K run takes competitors across the hilly terrain of W. Kerr Scott�s award winning multi-purpose trail system. To add to the challenge, competitors will eat 6 delicious Dixie Donuts at the half-way point! There will be prizes for the winners in each age group, i.e. under 15, 16-35, 36-50, 51-65 and 66+. The entry fee is $25 and includes a T-shirt.

All profits from the race will benefit Friends of W. Kerr Scott Lake.
