You know, I was driving down Rock Creek Road, and I think yard signs are a decent indicator of who is getting support. Sexton seemed to have the most closely followed by Forsale Byowner.

Not looking for free land. Just looking for commercial property in suitable area.

The land is there if they want to pay for it. There is no free land.

I agree that big retail stores are not coming here. But some businesses here would like to expand and there are no possibilities for them with lack of available land.

Give me the money to not be at work and I guarantee ... This is a personal promise....
I will get some major business to invest in the county.
Bet on me to fail and you win, if I win... well you win.

If you are talking about bringing businesses to Wilkes, I doubt you have a chance. Wilkes has almost nothing to offer a big business. Start ups is the best chance.

Pretty sure we can do more if the "newer generation" is willing to lease off land. Unless they are still eating the poop sandwich from the tacobell sinkhole.... how ironic.

Conservatives would buck at another liberal business coming to town. They're already butt hurt Starbucks is here now.

Was Blimpies up in JC Faw convenience store? Location I am talking about is on right before you get to the stop light on 421 and then when you turn on 16. Property has frontage on both roads. In my opinion, it would be the most valuable undeveloped land on 421.

This is a major problem for these towns and county. I am personally looking for commercial property for a friend and there is nothing here to buy. So I can certainly understand why they have no luck in getting companies. Seems that one man owns everything. And it is not Faw.

Still owned by Church Family. 31 acres.

No, I mean on 421 where the 16 intersection is located . I had always heard that the Church guy that owned all the property across from car wash , tore down his house and has held it for a large retail store like target to locate there.

old lady,

Do you mean near the Food Lion in the area? There are a few stretches of property past that point, but me personally I dunno if it would work. Maybe I'm wrong there is a big community on 16 and 18 that may want an alternative.

Looks like I have plans for Thursday night!

What questions do you think I should should I ask?
I've already got a list of my own.

The better place for a target would be up 421 at the 16th intersection. However, I do not think they would ever come here.
