The mail carriers deserve our Thanks as they are out on this miserable, cold, wet, dangerous day to get the mail through to those who got theirs. I wouldn't have their job for nothing :) :) They are truly dedicated workers :) :) :)

I'm impressed that anybody got mail, one would hope that the ones who didn't will be understanding.

I didn't risk my neck on the roads today so why should I expect the mail carrier to?

I deliver mail at North Wilkesboro and I had a long day today. Left home this morning at 7 and got home tonight about 6. Our mail truck was 3 hours late getting to the post office to start with, so we got out late. Then with the snow we couldn't make up the time. I got most of my route delivered, but unfortunately not all. I had to cut a few roads due to our time cutoff. Our supervisor wanted us back in the post office by 5pm. I feel like I did all I could, but still hate that some did not get service. Merry Christmas, all!

Our mail lady got stuck on the road outside of our house. The road has not been scraped yet. We worked for quite sometime trying to help her out.

Mail does run today. But, if the road isn't scrapped and the mailbox isn't cleared for the carrier.... then the carrier may not stop at the box. If you were a mail carrier would you try to burst those big ole snowballs (with your vehicle that the government doesn't provide) that the road scraps leave in front of the mailbox?

We just got mail...which means...yipeee!! I can probably get up this hill and out of here!!
If we got mail, not much reason anyone shouldn't...

don't expect mail until the roads have been cleared to ensure the carriers don't get stranded somewhere.

LOL, just playing here NellySue
my rule of thumb is: if a snow plow has made a snow bank in front of it I will scoop
I figure if it doesn't run I can open those bills a few days later
