Many religious people think that prayer is all they need. A few tears for remorse and bingo bango all done.

A really big problem is that a lot of Christians don't think mental illness is actually mental illness. They think one of two things. Either that it is God directing the mental ill or it is a demon directing the mental ill. Face facts, most preachers are mental ill.

The issue is often people think they can pray away mental illness. And the church (Protestant and Catholic) have perpetuated the idea that prayer alone can solve everything. Because of this, often people struggling with things like being attracted to children think they just need to be more Godly and everything will be fixed.

Then the other side of that is the truly evil people know that they can easily prey on the innocent if they hide in places like churches and charities.

LOL. Check out the "BROTHERHOOD" that runs the "Holy Roman Catholic Church". Really, Have the "PROTESTANT" Brothers proved any more "HOLY"?

I'm not arguing that one is worse than the other, but you can't use the Catholic defense and say Priests are bad but when a pastor has done wrong claim he isn't really a pastor.

It's called misrepresenting the Kingdom of God to justify doing wrong,

Christian response when one of their own are caught.

"OH YEAH"! He's Toast! He Knows "HE'S" Toast. But, I know a "Case" involving "RAPE" . Where the Children of the Woman were "Witnesses". Both "Swore" they saw the "Man" force their mother "By The Light Of The Moon". The "Defendant" produced a "Farmers Almanac" that showed the Moon was in the "NEW" phase. There was no "Moonlite" that night. Case Dismissed.

Yes innocent until proven guilty but over 100 charges. I'd say he's toast.

If I may please; The "Bible" explains How to Avoid Preachers like "Mr Luffman". But, Then again, He has Only been Charged. NOT CONVICTED!
