And not allowing anyone in his office to issue hunting or fishing license. Good, standing up for what he believes. .

A Crisis of Public Morality, Not Private Morality

At a time many Republican presidential candidates and state legislators are furiously focusing on private morality -- what people do in their bedrooms, contraception, abortion, gay marriage -- America is experiencing a far more significant crisis in public morality.

Clearly, the persecution agenda is still in full force. The judge in Texas recused herself, as she is legally allowed to do, but referred the couples to another judge IN THE SAME JURISDICTION to perform the ceremony. Davis, on the other hand, refused to do her job or to allow her deputies to do their jobs.

Also, no one has answered yet a question I posed earlier: If Davis were wearing a burka and refusing marriage licenses because of her beilief in Sharia law, would all the people still be supporting her? If not, then why?

Another question, was Davis checking all the heterosexual couples to see if they had been married before or if they had had premarital sex? Those sins are just as egregious as h*mosexuality. If she wasn't, then why?

I have no patience with those who choose to discriminate. Let them only do it in their imaginations and while they are in jail.

It's very basic so I will put it in simple language.
Judge no stop I dos
Clerk say no i dos stop everybody.
I tried to put it in simple words.

Anyone could go somewhere other than Mrs Davis office same as they could go somewhere besides to judge parker ! Still same thing . judge =more authority therefore should be more accountable than clerk . Parker got free pass !

Pretty sure is was "your" side, TS, who threw down the "she's not doing her job" card. And, that is a valid argument. And, while the task is discretionary, Parker still refused to perform it, while still being paid by tax-paying citizens.

Who does a county clerk work for? The State. What did the state tell her to do? Her job.

Parker Did refuse to issue marriage licenses but BUT SHE RECUSED HERSELF AND MADE ACCOMMODATIONS SO THAT SHE DID NOT DENY THE COUPLE SEEKING SERVICES.

there, I put it in bold, capitalized it and underlined it, maybe this time you will **** read it.

Note from GoNC: a portion of this post was removed for vulgarity.

People like you kill this country from the inside, with your reckless breading and refusal to understand the basics of how this nation operates.

If you refuse to look at the facts, and understand them at a **** high school level of intelligence, then shut the **** up, and excuse yourself from the adult table, because you clearly do not belong.

Thank you, Elmo. I am very clear on that.

Thanks, again.

i will try only once more and hopefully give a thought to consider

the county clerks office was the only place that issues a marriage license. it is a integral function of their job.

in the case of judge parker. she is a justice for the 116th district civil court. yes she has the power to marry people, but that is not her function. probably a mayor does as well. but if the mayor decides to not perform any marriages, is he breaking the law?. is he not doing his job? probably not ...marrying people would be a discretionary function of his job. much like the judge.

You are right guitar I agree.....I see it alot on here both sides putting each other down over what ? An opinion someone has, someone's religion or someone's political affiliation...... It gets old seeing the same horse being kicked around or as my grandpa would say your fighting a circular saw boy and you will never win. The way I see it is this...... were all different and come from different walks of life we aren't going to always agree but why does it got to come down to name calling and putting each other down.....what Davis did in my opinion was wrong she should have stepped aside but the judge even though she did step aside was wrong in the fact.... she like Davis discriminated and with that said if it had been a Christian judge that done that a thread would had been started and it would have turned into the Christian judge was discriminating now I could be wrong but going by what is typical on here I can't help but believe that is the case
