Why do people throw trash on roads?

The trash pick up trucks are also guilty of losing trash off of the trucks as they go on their routes. They are not even aware of what flies off the trucks.

I think most of the trash on the roads comes from the people that are going to the dump but don't cover it. I've gotten behind people several times that had trash blowing out of the back!

Those of us that live in rural Wilkes have NO excuses either. To have garbage picked up from J&R garbage service costs $4.00 per week. That is cheap for the convenience of having your trash removed weekly. I've seen people store mountains of rotting garbage around their house to truck it to the dump when they get around to it. Or to throw it in the woods or at illegal dump site. Nasty!

I include cigarette butts in this rant as well, not just fast food wrappers and beer bottles.
As far as Fixing their dogs, yes if they "free range", however, some breed of dogs are much healthier if left in tact.

Seriously, how are people so backwards as to throw THEIR trash out their car windows to litter our beautiful county? There are trash cans at stores, gas stations, homes, etc, so why do it? I imagine people who throw trash out of their cars live in filthy homes & have zero personal responsibility. P.S. I think the same thing about people who do not fix their pets.
