No, it's racist for race to be a factor at all in your decision to intervene.

But sadly, that's society today. There is no safe way for a white person to intervene in a crime when a non-white person is the bad guy.

For example:


She saw what appeared to be a man vandalizing property in her neighborhood, she confronts him in a friendly way while her husband calls the cops to help out. But because the apparent vandal wasn't white, both she and her husband were blasted on social media and lost their jobs:
