I also think it should be a law that you keep your pets only on your property and quit letting pets run loose many days i sit in my treestand deer hunting and have numerous dogs ruin my day by running deer or have my trash cans turned over and trash tore out or livestock killed by those pets that you love

Whether you live inside the city limits or in the country, you still have to be a responsible pet owner. Unfortunately, your pets don't know where their property ends and the neighbor's property begins so it looks like you may have to fence them in. I live in the middle of nowhere, but made the decision to fence a large portion of my yard (about 3/4 of an acre) due to having a Beagle and a Basset Hound who both love to run and follow their noses. This way, I don't have to worry about the few neighbors I do have complaining that my dog was on their property, and I know my dogs get enough exercise. I know you love your dogs so, for their safety, invest in a fence. I would also tell your neighbor to keep his cats out of the trash and the barn.

Call the dog pound to set traps for the cats. Put your dogs up where they can't go to his land.

put your dogs up if you love them and dogs really dont know where the line is but you do put in a underground fence to keep your dogs on your property and tell your neighbor to do the same if he values his cats

I had a neighbor that threatened to do it and I got rid of the one he was talking about. He was afraid of dogs and my dog kept getting out.. I tried fencing the yard, even electric fence but then he came over and said that I so I got rid of the dog. I felt it was safer for the dog that way.

If you are unfortunate enough to have a dog hating neighbor-the only safe thing for your pets is to confine them to your property. Even in the "country" the world is not like it used to be. Where I grew up we all just loved & tolerated each others dogs & cats. Sadly, it is not this way anymore.

file a report just in case something does happen to your animals, he sounds like the type to shoot and bury the evidence..

It's pretty simple. Tell him to keep his cats off of your property...or you'll shoot them...and that your dogs are simple protecting your property. If he has any problems with that...I would tell him that I'm sure the Sherrif's department would be happy to speak with him about his threats...and his intruding cats. I'd give him a call and tell him that very thing. But that's just me.

I don't put up with dung like that.

Don't take the threat lightly. My friend's neighbor poisoned her dog with antifreeze. The horrible thing is that they are even related!

Sunday during our weeking family gathering my neighbor threatened to kill my dogs for chasing his cats. I would llike some feed back on what you all think I should do in this situation. I have 2 small dogs one tiny 10lb beagle and a 6 month old yorkie. My neighbors cats sleep in my barn and the dogs will run them out when they see them going in or coming out. Sunday the cats were tearing out my aunts trash that lives around the corner and the dogs saw the cats and ran them back home. Noted the dogs have never bitten the cats and were raised with a cat. When I walked over to get my dogs the man said "Do you like your dogs? Do you want to keep them? Lock them up or I'll shoot them for you." He said "If my cats are at your house them run them off or kill them" I really dont know what I should do I live way out in the country thought I didnt need to "lock them up" any suggestions?
