Looking at Exodus again, it says that if someone hurts the pregnant woman and causes her to miscarry then the punishment is up to her husband.

So strictly from a religious perspective, this means that if the husband is the one that does it or approves of it then there's no punishment.

You are trying to make law logical. It is not. That is the first thing you learn in law school.

Abortion is legal, shooting a woman in the belly and killing her baby is not.

Liberal lawyer wannabees, what if a person shoots at someone, misses them and kills the innocent person behind them. No charges? Civil matter I guess. Sorry but taking an innocent life is still CRIMINAL

Thats not saying I believe in God, IDK. Just answering it to what I think for religious folks. In other words Mike don't worry you head about it, you can't have a abortion anyway. God will take care of you, right

God Wil take care of me. I don't agree with abortion

The shooter intentions was to kill. And should be charged with murder. Is the way I see it.

PREMIDITATION dolt! Whether what person of whichever political persuasion regards an embryo or a fetus as a life has nothing to do with the charge. PREMIDITATION, Did the shooter intend to kill the embryo/fetus/unborn baby or not? Did the shooter know the woman was pregnant
&&&&

Ok so a person is robbing a bank and kills someone it wasn't premeditated it was bang killed him to escape. No thought was given to the Life. Goes Free from murder Right even after a taking of Life. If in the action of a crime a person is killed what does the laws have to say.

I'll answer, simple one for me, YES,YES,YES. Personally if there's a God that judges all at rebirth, let man judge her not but God. In the end none of this matters, you will be alone to answer for you. Can a woman get forgiveness, I'd say yes but IDK, this is up to God. Over population is a real problem.

If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

Exodus 21 says that your scenario would be a civil offense, not criminal.

But the same chapter also says...

- assault and battery is a civil offense, with a maximum fine being to pay for any lost wages while the victim is out of work

- assault and battery against your slave is OK, though, as long as they don't lose a tooth, eye, or die

- Involuntary manslaughter is to be punished by banishment

- cursing your parents is a capital offense

- you are not responsible for the first offense if your pet or livestock kills someone, but a second offense is punishable by death. Or they can pay a fine. Whatever works.

Should the person who shot the woman in the stomach be charged for murder. Duh the shooter intentions was to kill the woman. The woman lived but the baby ( embryo) was killed? According to LIBERALS the baby ( embryo ) IS not a Life. Would you charge the shooter with murder?

Premeditation is always a factor in a murder case. Was the perpetrators intent to kill the baby? Did the perpetrator know she was pregnant?

But only an ill educated, semi illiterate would ask the question that you posed! Or a backwoods jack leg preacher, wait a minute that was kinda redundant.

godless. Well should the shooter be charged?
