Since ya mentioned it, lol....defensive driving is expecting others to make a dangerous move and anticipating it so that you can react to it. Good point hangs.

The thing that would have stopped the shooter 100 % in his tracks and would have prevented the needless deaths of others would have been a bullet to a critical area of the body or other method of instant death.
That no one can argue.

Being stupid , not getting one's way , craving attention , and having a gun in one's possession, prescription for disaster.

Looking back at the mass shootings committed in recent history, how many of those were committed by people that had severe mental problems? A lot. How often have we heard someone close to them talk about their mental condition leading up to the crime? A lot. These were committed by people that could have been identified as troubled if someone had paid attention and took the matter seriously.

What you call our once great country is still great. And most certainly not dead. Dude! We have running water and electricity for almost free. Our stores are full of food. You can buy anything you ever want or need. Education is free. Life is good here.

I felt kinda disheartened regarding your comment that nothing will work and we are doomed. Never underestimate the human will to do better.

That being said, your passion is palpable however misguided. Relax, you are scaring people. No one is coming to get your guns. You do not have to to be in a place where you believe all is lost.
