Thanks Muse. Like your posts also.

Maybe you misunderstood Greenbriar......perhaps he meant "you rock" as in rocking chair. Just kidding. Couldn't resist. And by the way, you really do rock (without a chair).

decsurvey- like your ideas as well, however I think we would need to work on the Congress first, then maybe the president issue.

oops wonder = wonders... lol "does wonders for the soul."

TheMUSE

exactly DECSURVEY... life time politicians suck. How can we expect to grow and change with the times when our congress is stagnant?

Good ole boys? They should be playing chess, and not with our lives.

Don't correct me, Muse... I say you ROCK!!! And you sure do!

Happytrees

lifeatbest, very good very good. We need to learn to take care of ourselves. Not saying that the needy are not needy, but if you are able to help yourself you should be required to. We send money and crops overseas to "teach" 3 world countries how to be self reliant why not teach out own the same morals, and principals.

Return the electing of US Senators to the state legislature. This way when the senator is not doing what is in the best interest of the state then he/she can easily be replaced by a vote of the state government.

According to a recent article the US president was originally to be chosen by Congress. Maybe we should try that route.

The power of the government should be in Congress not with one person.

Leave the Congressional house elected by the people as well as state officials.

Do away with lifetime politicians.

Put America first.

How about having a community garden, full service with teaching others how to start a garden, freeze and can foods. Food stamps could be reduced saving tax payers money and we would be teaching others to take care of themselves. Of course, some people are not able to garden, so of course free produce would be given.

This could inspire a sense of community and teach "them to fish" so that they can have food.

This could include helping people make a budget and teach some money saving tips.

I agree term limits to ANY and ALL public offices should be set in place...How can the same one person represent all of the people in there state that has been in office for more than 10 years. Also reducing what the Congressmen and Senators are paid. Once out of office, pay would stop 100%

I like Muse's answer better than mine.

Good going sir.

Term limits in congress would be awesome.
