I'm so glad President Trump was able to lower unemployment from 14% down into the 6% range, even during one of the worst pandemics the world has ever seen. Now, hopefully Biden's handlers can continue the successes.

How is that even possible? Everywhere you go there are help wanted signs up and people are short staffed?

I'm not sure what you're trying to say... your statement proves that the original is right.

Starting under the Obama administration, we've had a surplus of jobs... more jobs available than we have people to take them. That surplus has increased to over 10 million, mostly in no-to-low skill manual labor.

With a record low number of people filing for unemployment, this means that the wide majority of people have a higher paying job, and don't want these minimum wage labor jobs.

IMO, this problem is really a reflection on the fact that Obama was tougher on undocumented immigrants than almost every other President combined. And Biden is even tougher, deporting more in his first year than Trump did in almost all 4 years combined. The jobs they're vacating are these no-to-low skill jobs that no one else wants... so we're just letting them sit unfilled.

We have lots to be thankful for. God is great🙂

Employers that are lucky enough to find help aren't laying them off. The labor force participation rate is still only around 61 percent. Millions of jobs are still going unfilled.

This mastermind we have reading to us has really got this economy clicking along like a well oiled machine. Once he got the kinks (are we still able to say that?) worked out after Trump got out of office. Everything is great, But his approval numbers. I guess the American people are just too dumb to realize what a treasure we have.

Isn't it great that Biden's new bill is helping out the rich?

Also political but true... the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit were both initially proposed and supported by the GOP.

The CTC was enacted in 1997 under Clinton, but was only $400 per child. Bush Jr. increased it to $1000, then Trump raised it to $2,000.

Biden raised it to $3,600 for this year, but it's supposed to go back to $2,000 next year.

Hey yew "crats don't be crowin' 'bout the low unemployment rate and the strong economy that's all due to the planning and efficiency from when Trump was in. Now, inflation that's all Biden's fault.

I don't mind helping working families who need it. But I think there should be a work requirement and a lower income limit.
It doesn't phase out until $400,000.

If they're going to do it then that makes sense... the point is to make sure that kids aren't starving, right?

But still... if someone has 5 kids then they get $1500 a month + a $9000 check in April? In addition to SNAP and CHIP?

Sheesh, they could never work a day in their lives and still have more money than me!

The BBB bill seeks to extend the "tax credit" which you can receive even though you are not working or paying income taxes.
