I'v never understood the interest in Starbucks. I've had them in several other cities, and I always thought their coffee tasted burnt.

Talia is better any day. Is Anchor Coffee still open? They were a lot better, too, just in a bad location.

Is anchor coffe still open ? Uhhhhh yes and the last time I was in there they were busy so location obviously isn’t to terrible , take a drive every once in a while and you might know these things yourself.

Concerning Starbucks, if you want a good cup of coffee, just go to Hardees, get a dollar cup of coffee and throw 4 dollars into the trash container.

Starbucks, really likes a median range neighborhood income of $60,000...of the population...

the median range income in Wilkes is $32,000 if you're lucky!

it's not having enough people in the county, it's the amount of money the population has to spend...

Texas Roadhouse is a franchise, so it's not a lack of population, it's a lack of anyone with enough money willing to invest in Wilkes.

Minimum requirement is liquidity of $3 million and a net worth of $6 million. You must also have the ability to invest $1.6 to $3 million:

It looks like they expect to turn over about 4000 tables a night. I honestly don't see that happening in Wilkes.

We have several Talia Espresso locations in Wilkes. They are a locally owned small business that we should support over a big chain like Starbucks. I do wish they would stay open later.

You can also get sushi at Koto Japanese restaurant on Hwy 421.

I do agree with you on Texas Roadhouse. I was hoping that Dodge City would be a comparable restaurant, but they are too hit and miss for me. Mostly a miss lately.

Starbucks would do so well in Wilkes! Why do we not have one? As well as a nice steakhouse like Texas Roadhouse, a good sushi place would also be nice. Why do we not have any of this? I feel like we are populated enough
