Yes, in retrospect I wish I had just ordered it through Tiger Direct. On their website they charged 37.50 for shipping. Yet, on Walmart.com, the same item that said shipped and sold by Tiger Direct was free shipping.
Nomorewalmart, I agree about them not being able to read. On their website it clearly states new policy and gives list of online retailers they will price match. Tiger Direct is one of many listed. Yet, the store manager tells me the new policy says Amazon is the only one. Reading comprehension problem? Yes, and a "could care less about the customer" attitude. Not a good combination in a manager.
From what I've read online, many smaller retailers are upset about their new price match policy coming here at the holidays. I guess it was only fitting that someone took advantage of the price match by posting fake ads and getting them to match. What goes around comes around.

betty i have had the same problems with walmart also . they dont know how to look up there own web site . last time i asked did they need me to help them spell walmart.

I probably will stay away from Walmart in the future. I try to avoid the place whenever possible, but the dang TV went out two days ago. I have a sick person at home whose only pastime is the TV right now...... As for credit cards, I don't use the things. If you have cash or a bank card, why use a credit card? Maybe you don't have cash or money in your bank account Fins?

Good question Umpire. Not eighty dollars after the gas for sure. My entire point is if Elkin would have done their job right to start with, a trip to West Jefferson would not have been needed.

No, it was pointless. And if you had a clue what they could lose with such a scam, you'd realize they aren't over reacting. But I doubt you've ever run a business so you have no clue what overhead is. You also have no clue that some manufacturers set the prices for their products, such as Sony. Or that retailers make a lost zero on selling game consoles. They do it to sell the games.

Not a pointless post Fins, might save someone else the headache if they are aware (I was not until later) that Walmart got ripped off this week on the Price Match thing and apparently are "overreacting".

NC268, are you a Walmart employee? Nothing personal, but why go to Black Friday? It actually starts Thursday and the pre-Black Friday they have going on right now is just as good and less crowded. I didn't have to punch a single other shopper today (wanted to punch a manager)
