I called the Elkin store and discovered they had the item in stock and was told to print out the ads in question. When I got there, I spent 30 minutes while 3 cashiers tried to find the items on Walmart.com. After the computers worked and the ads were located, they summoned a manager to approve the price match. I was then told that Walmart had a new price match policy that just came in effect few days ago that said the only online retailer they price matched was Amazon. I informed the lady I had just read the new policy from the Walmart website and it gave a list of retailers they matched and Tiger Direct is one (for petes sake, they are selling it through Walmarts own website, lol). The manager offered to sell it to me for the 579.99 price and I declined, said I would go home and purchase it from Tiger Direct on their website and get free shipping. She said well you can do that. I said I might go to another store where I can get better customer service and she said well you can do that too.

I left the store, went home and called Walmart customer service. The customer service agent said the person who told me that was "full of bull mularkey" because there were several retailers that could be price matched. She said someone needed to be educated and filed a complaint for me. I then called the West Jefferson store, they had the TV, conferred about it over the phone and told me they could price match it, set it aside for me, and I picked it up for $499.99 Seems like a big headache for a TV, right? Yes, but I proved a point that I should have already known. Some people are just ignorant and too **** stubborn to admit they might be wrong, i.e. take a glance at their own price match policy on their website and READ, lol.

So, be prepared for this kind of **** in the next little bit if you try to price match at Walmart, but stick to your guns, maybe take a printed copy of the policy and show them.
