Vast cuts to Medicaid f

Ole Sarge, I'm assuming your comments about "hatred" and "ignorance" were directed at me. I assure you my heart is filled with love for my fellow man, which is why I care about these proposed changes.

Now as far as being ignorant, I have had probably too much formal education! And I'm told I have common sense but I've also been told I can be a bit naive, especially when I expect others to step up and do the right thing ... Maybe that is ignorance?

I think that saying liberals always jump to the granny over the cliff scenario is not helpful.

In fact, making something a liberal vs conservative issue is most unhelpful.

I swear, sometimes I think people feel about their party the way they feels about sports- support your team always. It does not work the same way when it's the future of the country!

And yes OS, of course there is waste, but for every cheat, there are probably a lot of honest people who depend on this program to get them over the skids.

DT just doesn't care about the poor, despite what b*":$*t he fed his base.

Now we know who's going to pay to "build that wall" and it ain't Mexico, but to our politicians, the less fortunate Americans are close enough.

So that is what you see? Could your vision be distorted by hatred? or ignorance

Goddess, that article taught me some things. Thankyou for posting it :)
Pollock, I think it will adversely affect the children in this community, just like the education debacle.

Sad business, and yet the people that it affects the most obstinately stand by their man- even as he throws them off a cliff.

It is evident that you are not a keeper of the vineyard, as pruning is exactly what the vines need to get them to grow and produce.

Ole Sarge, of course there is wasteful spending!! The government is inefficient and there will always be some wasteful spending ... But I don't see Trump trying to address those issues, I see him giving up and deciding to just do away with programs that many people depend on

A well of positive thoughts about Trump I am sure.

Wow, 1 in 4 Americans are currently enrolled in the Medicaid program, I didn't know that. That number is daunting considering his proposed funding cuts!

I have really tried to remain positive and give Trump a chance but these recent changes proposed to education and health care really show his true colors.

And his expected de-funding of other "anti-poverty" programs and proposed tax cuts for the wealthy just seem to prove he wants to keep the masses in poverty.

I have said it before (and I don't care if y'all Republicans accuse me of being racist again) ... Rich white men always look out for their own!

Do you suppose there is any waste or abuse in the Medicaid program? Is there any waste or abuse in the education system? Why do liberals always run to the starving children and pushing granny over the cliff skit?

Could it be about controlling the waste and abuse?

What about children's Medicaid? There are plenty of children in Wilkes County currently enrolled in the program who need access to health care. I surely hope these cuts won't effect them!

And I would like to see a link to original article

Any chance that was "proof" enough ??

The perception is Medicaid "helps" the poor. In reality, Medicaid keeps the poor poor and makes political contributors rich, off of taxpayer dollars, by "monitoring and administrating" the associated Medicaid "programs".

Medicaid never "helped" anyone who signed up for Medicaid "assistance".

Uhh it's called a simple internet search and I quote "Proposed cuts to Medicaid"? (of course, it's probably fake news?)

10 years now? The government will always figure a way to get theirs!

And looking back at that particular situation, that's probably why she signed everything over but I didn't know then about Medicaid compascating your land when you die
