I think it is bad as well that someone needs to bash people who actually work for a living.

Just to be clear, I am not saying everyone is soft that isn't Hispanic. Its just thats the biggest amount of those who can't hack working the job.

I really don't think they are laying off because they are expanding parts of the plant. Also, they still need to produce the same amount of birds. And anyone wanting to know why they keep hiring, I know this because I've been there, its because way too many NON MEXICANS are too soft and can't hack doing a little hard work once in their lives. The Hispanics were the best workers there and worked harder than anyone else.

It is a crying shame that people feel the need to bash other people for the kind of job they do or where they work. At least they are working and not depending on welfare to pay their way.My husbands grandmother retired from Tyson. She has a relatively comfortable retirement, she is not having to suffer and struggle during her retirement years. So, please don't knock or put anyone down for working, whether they work at Tyson, somewhere flipping burgers or digging ditches. At least they are out there working and earning a honest days pay.

My husband grosses at least 650.00 to 800.00 a week. And we have very good health insurance on us and out three children for only 50.00 a week. So Sunset Superman why don't you go bash someone else. You're probably not masculine enough anyway to do the kind of work he does.

Those who respnd by acting like they have soooooo much more than the people who work at Tyson have jack**** and are probably completely unhappy at their current job but they wont admit it... no matter how much money they make.... :?

The entire plant isn't like that. My husband works in the part where they cook the food ... they definitely know what air conditioning is there; but, he loves it.My point being ... unless you've worked there you just don't know. You shouldn't demean others that bust their *** to make a living for their family ... at least those at Tyson are WORKING!

ha! ha!I very seriously doubt anyone outside of a plant manager makes more than I do there. You work there,be my guest, not me.Enjoy the heat and steam,I'll keep my air conditioning.I know better than the blacks and whites being a majority there.Do you have stats to back that up?I can agree alot of hard working "AMERICANS" work there. There is nothing better here for their skill level. As a rebuttal, they have a mind.It is up to them to sit and suffer or get a higher education. So as to walk away from that place one day.Again,be my guest,I'm eating butter pecan ice cream across the street.Whilst they are standing in water smelling chicken eviscera. 8) :)

My husband has worked there for nearly 14 years ... and yes, he's WHITE! He said he hasn't heard of the layoff; but, I certainly hope it isn't true. We depend on that pay check.
And SunsetSuperman ... that's not very nice. There are a lot of good, honest, hard working individuals at Tyson that probably make more per hour than you do. And, there's Drama EVERYWHERE people congregate ... whether it be Lowe's, Tyson, or the small business down the road ... that's life.

cracks me up... low wages... slave chamber and all the good stuff...They make more at Tyson and starting wages are more than 90 percent of the businesses in Wilkes county.... :?Slave labor...lmao... thats a joke... trust me they dont have people tied down with chains keeping them there... the people there are smart enough to know if they quit there is no other jobs here in Wilkes that will pay them as much as they make there.Mexicans have their way.... get your facts straight..... there are more caucasion and blacks than there are mexicans....
