I think anything that kids cant figure out would work
The idea of putting a shirt on over the strap looked like a really good one
Heres another option

Chendo it's stated her getting hurt or worse OR my husband and I getting in trouble. Not saying that's worse. Saying her hurt or worse. Then my husband and I getting in trouble.

Maybe on family movie night cuddle up and watch the most gruesome car crash videos and explain to her that this is what will happen to mommy and daddy if you unbuckle. Plus the doctors will have to cut her legs off so that when the mean people come to take her to the Used Girl Store she will not be able to run away.

When all else fails, there are always "Tie-down straps".

Try putting tight mittens on her hands, or a tight pair of long socks.

Chendo why is that hilarious? You must be a **** up person. Thinking that's hilarious when somebody is asking something about their child.

We have tried popping her. Don't work. I'm not sure if they make baby proof chest buckles. That she won't figure out. She's to smart for her own good at this age. And I just spoke with a trooper and they said they have to have the chest buckles. So I guess our next move is a new chest buckle. 🤷🏼♀️ Dunno what else to do other than keep replacing the buckles till she can't get out of one.

We have been consistent with her. It don't matter what you do or say, she will unbuckle. She has been doing this for a hot minute now. We have tried tightening the straps so it's harder to pull her arms out. Don't work. We have tried explaining to her. Didn't work. We have tried disciplining her, didn't work. We buckle her up as soon as we notice. Which sometimes were not even out of the driveway. She is high strung. But we don't need her hurt or us in trouble. And we don't know what else to do. Nothing works with her. We have tried for months. Nothing has worked.

Our 2 year old daughter will not leave the chest clip buckled in her carseat. I have been researching and reading and I have red they don't legally have to have the chest clip. But I'm not sure if that's for NC. I know there's others out there that has dealt with this issue of kids not staying buckled. I just don't wanna risk wrecking and her getting hurt or worse or my husband and I getting in trouble. We have tried multiple things that everybody has told us. No kind of discipline works. She still unbuckles no matter what.
Any help or tips would be a life saver.
