My nails are long and I prefer either clear polish or the French manicure. Sometimes I wear red or mauve.

BTW, I'm probably the same age as Emp, or a year or two younger, and I was wearing dark purple polish when I was 15. I don't get this 'old school' stuff. More like Whackadoodle school.

It wasn't, Hangsleft. Anytime someone has a different opinion than Emp, she immediately pulls the political or religious card, even if there was nothing remotely mentioning either subject. You just need to get used to ignoring her.

Nail painting can be artful but bright red or black nails are so ugly.

There is a solution to tht nasty chemical smell of polish, and remover that still lets you have pretty nails! Don't want to get blasted for not having an ad, so PM me for more info, I can send u a sample if you would like.

Why not go all natural? That's what I'm talking about.

I love the different colors of polish available now. What I don't like is having to take it off. I don't like the smell of the remover, even those that are "flavored".

I love some of the crazy paint job I've seen people wearing but for myself I'll stick with natural looking colors. I can't even stand wearing a red polish.

I have a purple thumb from hitting it with a hammer and I felt kinda demonic when I first hit it. Does that count.?

I have worn every color under the sun. Even did my nails tye dye style once. I say live and let live. If you do not like it than do not do it but do not judge others who do when it is something as unimportant as nail polish. I apologize in advance if the OP's intend was not to judge but rather just to clarify what color she herself would or would not wear.

BTW My hubby loves my nails and he is the only person on earth I would try to impress with them.

I love dark nail polish, black is one of my favorites..
I also like lighter colors, but I can't get with red on my fingernails, only on my toe nails occasionally.
There's certain colors I would never wear, like yellows or bright green.

mine are painted a dark navy blue with a little daisy on index nails......

My nails are currently gunmetal gray. I have been kind of witchy with a B lately. Maybe it's the demons.

I'm old school too, empowers, lol.
