ccurry sounds like a woman that takes care of business and to be admired.

congrats on your business venture. best wishes to you and hubby for gaining more education. and sending a shout out to your daughter ... she is a very lucky girl.

as for the naysayers .... for all their words, none of us know the circumstances they live in and have no idea of their relationship with their own families. i am becoming acutely aware of the difference between what i see posted here and what is the actual truth.

its much easier to say it than do it.

I normally do no get on here except to check out yardsales, cars (a hobby of my husbands), or the free stuff. But I feel I must reply to the comment made by maco4. My name is on the alcohol license due to the fact that I am on the lease with my husband, who happens to be Matt Curry. There is no shame in that as I support my husband because he is a hard worker. I want it to be made clear that I set an EXCELLENT example for my daughter. I am a nurse who works 40 hours a week and also works prn at a different place. I am also a full time student obtaining a higher degree in nursing. My husband is also a full time student. In between work and school, I also run my daughter to and from the movies, friends houses, ballgames, doctors/orthodontists appointments, etc. I also am the one who helps with homework (which includes hiring tutors), takes care of her when she is sick, and listens to her problems with school, friends, and even boys. She also does attend church. I am the mom who always calls and meets the friends parents before she is allowed to go over and hang out, which she says is embarrassing. I talk to my child at least on a weekly basis about sex, drugs/alcohol, and other issues that may be of concern. And, according to her, the main issue is pills and meth. Not so much alcohol. She knows that the legal age limit is 21 and that a bar is a bar. I have NO plans in taking her there or encouraging her to be part of it. To me and my husband, this is a place of business. He plans to run the place without all the hoopla of drugs, fighting, etc. But ofcourse there are always some who try to ruin a good time for others. As for leaving drunk, the staff is well aware of a cut-off point and have even offered to give rides at closing time. To the customers, it is a place to come and unwind after a hard weeks work while enjoying live entertainment. That is their business. If it is not for you, then so be it. I am a Mom first! So please be well aware that I am NOT setting a bad example for my daughter and, by all means, don't be disappointed in me. I'm not and she isn't either. Thanks to all those who are supportive of the original Round Up opening back up. Hope you come and enjoy yourselves!

I can see both sides of the story here. The partying crowd wants a fun place to go and mingle, drink, dance, and meet friends. The settled down crowd thinks bad of it because places like this have been known to lead to infidelity, fights, drug & alcohol abuse, and people leaving the facility intoxicated which can kill innocent people on the road. All I can do is pray that everyone is safe, if you've had too much to drink, call a ride or ride with someone else. If you dont want to be careful for yourself, do it for the innocent people on the road that could have their children with them and you driving drunk could take their lives. Griping about this place isnt going to make a difference, I do believe there are more people out there that want to do bad than there are people who want to do good. Let them be them and you be you. Lets hope one day they will change their ways and see that that is no way to live.

The place is a landmark alright, like the old landfill up on Germantown Road. The best thing to do would be to condemn it and tear it down all the way to the ground, then maybe they would find those bodies that were supposed to have been buried there when it was being built.

I am very disappointed to see the female officer She has a 14 yr old daughter. What kind of example is she setting for this child..Does she wont her daughter to go to places like ?Parents needs to get their kids in Church. And talk to them Not to drink or drugs. That is all that place is Idont care who runs the place.

This place has always been trouble. If i was living on that side of town the law would be setting in my drive way to get the drunks that leaves there before they kill someone.
