One of his remote ancestors built a boat and kept two dogs confined on it in cramped conditions for six months along with many other animals. One of the other family called animal control, but there was no answer.

Well, I disagree about his family. They had to be aware of what was happening. They should be ashamed. I am ashamed that we have people like this in our county. People that will torture animals and kill them because they are not good fighter, are despicable. Are you aware that they will hang a dog or will electrocute the poor animal after it has fought and lost? They stab a dog before a fight to get it to fight.
Read the excerpts from his mentors books. One dog was scalped, one had 3 broken legs and one leg completely gone. This is barbaric. Any family member that condones these actions, are heartless and are no better than he is. People should check into organizations that include his family members. How can they be trusted ? They knew he was involved in illegal activities and obliviously did nothing to stop the torture.
We must continue to support these little innocent animals that had no choice, no rights. They were bred to fight, to kill, and be severely injured. They had to die because no one protected them from this beast. His actions should to be prosecuted and he should be forced to resign.
I think national media companies should be contacted to report this abuse. Where exactly is the sheriff's department? The proof is in Greene's own words.

Have any of you? Took 2 seconds at how the persons family feels.
I'm sure that some of them feel embarrassed to be associated with him.
And I'm sure that others are angry that he has gotten them into a position where they're guilty by association.
And I'm sure that yet others are really nervous that their affiliation with dog fighting is about to come out.
In all three cases, though... that's Stoney's fault for committing the crimes. It's not our fault for talking about them.

Y'all misread the JP, I've copied and pasted that paragraph,
"Greene stated in a letter to the other commissioners and dated March 19 (Tuesday) that his resignation was effective at 4:59 p.m. that day, which he said would allow Vice Chairman Casey Johnson to assume the chairmanship and preside at the board's meeting starting at 5 p.m. that day."
It's the way Boards and Committees are set up, if the chairman resigns or is unable to preside, the Vice Chairman assumes those duties.

Reading from the JP article, it states that " he would allow Casey Johnson to assume the chairmanship."
Just isn't that special?????
Could it be that he still can control things using Johnson ? You bet!!

WXII reported last night that Greene resigned one minute before the start of the scheduled commissioners meeting. I didn't catch if it was just as chairman or also as a commissioner.

Mr. Greene should have thought about how his actions would affect his family if these kind of misdeeds were brought to light!!!
I wonder how those dogs felt...not knowing why they were being abused and or why they had to fight to the death for the pleasure of some small minded little man!

His family lives right behind him. Do you really think they did not know. His wife's name was on his ad for Killer Klowns Kennel. For the KKK. If anyone knew, they are guilty as he is in my opinion.
If a child of mine was into dog fighting and was starving to death and if they were just trying to make a living by dogfighting. I would turn him in. You cannot hurt an animal for money, or just being a SOB. This is a brutal despicable, cruel thing that this individual has done. He is a disgrace.
Just think, if his family is hurt, think of the dog that his friends wrote about that had 3 broken legs and 1 leg that was totally gone. How did that dog feel? How about the one that was scalped? Do you know that they hang or electrocute the ones that are not good fighters? And they stab them with knives at the beginning of the fight to make them fight. You think his family has had that much pain? I don't think so.
And you just think of the lies that he has told. Wrong place, wrong time. Does he think that the public is as stupid as he is?

Still on other boards the county has appointed him too. Still a county commissioner just not chairman. Public outcry for him to resign tonight I heard. Standing room only. Someone said WXII was there.
