Ya Know Im Really Think ThE Confederate Flag Has More Meaning To It Than The American Flag Now.i Hate To Really Say That But Its The Truth.

------

I was driving through parts of Wilkes today and saw many Confederate Flags, torn, thread-worn, faded, flying in the rain, I even saw a few smaller ones where the flag touched the ground. I have placed many flags at the burial sites of Confederate Soldiers. It is not hard to put it in at an angle to keep it from touching the ground, and to remove it when it rains, whether it is in the ground or flying. I was lucky enough in middle school to have a NC History teacher, who not only taught me about flags, but also taught a group of us how to tend to Confederate graves.

Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is a US territory. It is part of the US. I am not sure how you think it is African Pride. They pay US taxes, etc. It is a really cool flag. To them it is like a state flag. As for anyone flying the Iraq flag, I guess that is their business as much as someone flying the VA Battle flag. Just like it is your right to have your own religious beliefs. Just because someone believes something other than you do, does not mean they have the right to force their beliefs on you, and you do not have the right to make them abide by your beliefs. Thank God, when Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, etc worked on the Constitution they made sure we had those freedoms.

So is Puerto Rico part of the U.S.?
Technically, Puerto Rico isn't considered to be a part of the U.S. Instead, it belongs to the U.S. as an "unincorporated" territory. Unincorporatedterritories of the U.S. are places where the country's constitution does not apply by default, except for in the case of certain "fundamental rights" owed to all Americans. It is also possible for a territory to be "incorporated" as part of the country, but this status rarely applies today.

Wilson said "there are a lot of other flags out there being flown that are a lot more offensive and nobody is saying anything about it. Iraq flag, Puerto Rican flags. There's Puerto Rican, African pride. Well, this is American pride."

Now I understand that the reporters will only write about the interviews that make a good story that being said it you are stupid keep your mouth shut. If you have a friend that is to stupid to know they are stupid tell them to keep quite. The reporter had to find a dumb bigot and I'm sure it didn't take long. Why would Southerners have a problem with Puerto Rico? Do some research and you will find it's part of America. I'm a supporter of the flag but if everyone is going to be ignorant then I don't care what they do with it. Heck I do not plan on going to Charleston anyway. I don't care who if anyone flies it. Today I went out to Millers Creek and saw someone driving a pickup with a big flag on the back. He was driving back and forth through the parking lot then kept going. I guess he wanted everyone to see it. Supporters are the minority and this is a losing fight so don't egg them on. It's sad because no one is talking about the ones killed anymore. If someone in SC would have lowered the dang flag we wouldn't be having this conversation now.
