I agree Thomas. If it was not for the public reaction, there would not be anything else said about this . And certainly will not stop till he is out of office. I am still calling for an investigation. There has been some dirty stuff going on.

There's never been any mention of Trump having a dog. I can just visualize a junk yard dog tucking its tail and running off yelping upon sighting the orange apparition.

Mr Greene is the tip of the iceberg. Absolutely nothing would be happening now if it weren't for private citizens taking action. And that's a huge problem.

They have to publish the agenda to the public so how could they have kept that a secret about a vote to censure?

I respect your opinion Albert and you are entitled too it.

For me and mine, we are not swayed by the ineffective and likely insincere actions of Wilkes Republican leadership concerning animal and woman abuse.

Thomas,
It's possible Chairman Johnson hopes Greene will save him the trouble of censuring and removing him from other appointments and resign completely from the Board, either way that's what's happening on May 7th.

Albert, let's think for a sec. Why would anyone give those they want to see removed a heads up?

Albert Pike

Actually and Thomas,
Until such time there is evidence to support either of your opinions I'll stick to my 2:07pm post which is backed up by facts.

You are right Albert I don't have proof.

But I can use deductive reasoning to form an informed opinion.

Albert you may think what you wish and believe what you've been told. But I can assure you that not everything that has been discovered has been shared.

Albert Pike

Actually,
I don't suppose you have the slightest bit of proof to back up your claim, my reply to Thomas applies to you as well.

Albert Pike

Posted 2:24 pm, 05/04/2024

Thomas,
You're entitled to your opinion but unfortunately I have the facts to back up my claim and all you have is...well your opinion.

Albert Pike, you don't think any of them knew his history?

I think they did, and only doing what they are doing now to try to cover up the stench.

Thomas Hobbes

I disagree. It is only because of pressure from private citizens that they have taken any action. Had this not been the case they would have turned a blind eye to it all. The entire leadership of Wilkes needs to be replaced.

Actually,
I'll remind you,

The Wilkes County commissioners voted 4-1 in favor of a motion asking Commissioner Stoney Greene to resign from the board Tuesday night, with Greene casting the lone vote against the motion.
Commissioner Greg Minton made the motion at the end of the meeting under "new business." Commissioner Keith Elmore seconded the motion.
The motion stated, "Due to recent controversy concerning Commissioner Greene, it has become extremely difficult for the Board of Commissioners to devote its undivided attention to those issues, which our citizens expect us to work on for the betterment of the county. Unfortunately, this controversy has been a distraction for the board and staff and an impediment to good government."
Minton's motion continued, "For these reasons, we feel it would be in the best interest of the county to respectfully request that Commissioner Greene consider resigning, and accordingly I make a motion that we request Commissioner Greene to resign from the Board of Commissioners for the good of the county and for the good of the board."
Minton added that he received communication from leaders of the Wilkes County Republican Party asking that the following be added to the motion he presented: "We, the Executive Committee of the Wilkes County Republican Party, join with the Wilkes County Board of Commissioners' motion in asking Commissioner Greene to resign as commissioner immediately for the good of the county."

And at the upcoming Wilkes County Commissioners meeting, Greene is going to be censured and I suspect removed from any other boards, committees and panels he was appointed to, note agenda items E and F.

The other Wilkes commissioners and Wilkes GOP leadership are doing everything they can under current laws.

No I am not giving any of them a pass but I would vote for Stoney Greene for president before I would vote for Joe Biden and that laughing cow.

While I do agree with you about DC, we have little influence there.

Maybe we can clean up a local mess by holding the local Republican leadership responsible for the Stoney Greene situation. I'm sure not giving Eddie Settle and Bill Sexton a pass on this
