God, you're stupid. Nascar sanctioned is not the same as a Cup event. NASCAR has several small localized divisions. People don't travel for those divisions. Those divisions are not generating revenue for anyone besides the track owner.

Bottom line canceling the race will serve to hurt attendance. Really bad move and indicative of poor leadership
