LS, All these scrubs complaining about spending tax money probably pay very little or none of that tax money. Interesting to see these negative Nabobs oppose spending someone else's money. They are usually first in line for a handout or government entitlement program.

Sad to see local and state officials bend over for Speedway Motorsport inc which made 570 million dollars last year. Guess they really need that 18 million of taxpayers dollars. Now they say another 4 mill .
Speedway owner sues Concord, N.C., and Cabarrus County over grants, tax cuts They are such good partners for local governments threatening to move races unless they get tax breaks and road improvements

168Amax | Posted 11:04 pm, 09/08/2022 | Funny I dont remember the old owners ever getting any funding from our tax dollars, They built and operated it on their own
|
How much beer and how many buckets of chicken will need to be sold for tax payers to break even on that 18 million dollar hand out to Speedway motor sports inc

If any of you attended the event on August 31st you got see some magic. You could feel the excitement of the fans and the drivers. This is what racing is all about. With the announcement of the All Star Race in May of 2023 and an additional $4million for improvements, I hope the ol girl is restored to her former glory with improvements to make it a useful facility for more than just races. Do any of you remember the fairs that were held there in past? They were epic. I attended one of the biggest car shows I've ever attended right there at that track. This is a win for the community. If things go forward as planned, the uses this place could serve are almost unlimited. All of the complainers on here are probably the same ones on other platforms being negative about one of the best things that has happened to Wilkes County in a long time. This place could be so much more than a racetrack, but some of the negative Nancy's have no vision and can't see past the nose on their face. Reality check, money is what makes the world go around and this is no different, but it sure tickles me think what a nice place this will be when they are done.

Let the naysayers have their negative crow. No matter what good comes there's those that enjoy being negative.
