Caught again there, CAPPYBOY. I threw that one in just to distract you. Glad it worked. Did you hear what BHO had to say today during his visit to the 9th ward? I didn't either. I quit listening to him a long time ago and my stomach doesn't churn nearly as much.

Not so hard on CAPPYBOY there, Trav. He really can't help but spew the LDLP line, "The gubment din do nuff tak car ME ME ME!" Remember, when seconds count the response time of the "gubment" is directly proportional to their distance away, if you follow recognized juris diction. One thing that CAPPYBOY does not do is beat aropund the Bush.

Umpire, umpire, umpire..... Are yo really this foolish? So you think it is bushes fault that people died during a natural disaster. That's is like saying it's Obama's fault because someone died during a natural disaster while he is the president. See where I'm going here? You can't have it both ways. But if you want it that way I can play that to. It was not the president's job to protect New Orleans. If you truly understood the ladder of office you would agree it would have been the responsibility of the mayor of the city, then the governor of the state. Now, look who was running them. Yes it was libs. Good ole honest playya Ray Nagin. For the governor, he was using the police to escort him to his home to retrieve what turn out to be illegal cash from his fridge. So try your blame Bush attempts with someone else. It doesn't work here.

@sparkling water Where in the presidential oath does the president accept responsibility for natural disaster?
Really? Ever read the preamble? Remember the part of the oath about the constitution?
and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
preamble-- promote the general welfare
Maybe that is the part you want to know about?

Natural disasters will happen, but it is how we respond to them. Bush didn't offer a response until to late. Basically, our government at the time left people stranded, without food or clean water. The great USA we let our people drown and starve.

soooooo back on topic, from a speech 5 years ago....
He said his administration has made efforts to reduce red tape and turf wars between agencies, and has put in place a new way to handle disputes, with help from Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-Louisiana. More than 170 projects are now underway as a result, he said.
In addition, federal officials are tackling "corruption and inefficiency that has long plagued the New Orleans Housing Authority," he said.
And a group led by Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is examining disaster recovery nationwide. "We're improving coordination on the ground, modernizing emergency communications and helping families plan for a crisis," Obama said. "And we're putting in place reforms so that never again in America is someone left behind in a disaster because they're living with a disability or because they're elderly or because they're infirm. That will not happen again."
On Friday, he said, his administration announced a final agreement on $1.8 billion for Orleans Parish schools, money the president said had been "locked up for years, but now it's freed up, so folks here can determine how best to restore the school system."
In addition, the largest civil works project in American history -- the construction of a fortified levee system to protect New Orleans -- is underway and will be finished by next year, he said.
......
and i think that charity hospital has been rebuilt, along with a community center that speeches were made from
all in all, i would guess that things have gotten done. maybe not enough, and not fast enough, but it's progress

Where in the presidential oath does the president accept responsibility for natural disaster?
It is one thingt I o fault the various government systems for a slow or inadequate response. It is altogether different to say the president caused the hurricane.
