I was hoping for a nice fluffy snow but the weather folks let us down again 😢 Everyone do your snow dance for next week! Friday is another possible snow🙂

Maybe 4" here, and it looks like it's about over. I've seen a lot of ice come down in the last hour, though!

Someone was asking about the accuracy of GoWilkes weather earlier. We actually import our weather reports from the National Weather Service, because it has consistently been the most accurate over the last 10+ years It's tied to the weather station at the Wilkes airport.

A few inches in the front yard, too messy to go measure.

Just a few inches in the front yard here. Anybody have a bigger snowfall to report?

Nobody has posted their accumulation yet. How deep is the snow at your place?

The more the media hype, the less snow. I think it's the law. :)

Estimates are falling. From 6 to 12 this morning to 3 to 6 this evening. I am willing to go ahead and reduce it to 1 to 3 right now. IF we get any at all

A sign that this will be a bad storm (Jim Cantore is coming):

Now it looks like 3-7" of snow Sunday, then a thin layer of ice on top of it. Nowhere near as bad as before, but that ice will still make the roads dangerous until Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday.

Tonight

A slight chance of rain showers before 11pm, then snow. Low around 22. Northeast wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Sunday

Snow before noon, then freezing rain and sleet between noon and 3pm, then sleet after 3pm. High near 29. Northeast wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Sunday Night

Snow and sleet likely before 9pm, then a chance of snow between 9pm and 1am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 26. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Ofcourse we are going to get a big beautiful snow when my daughter and I both have bad COVID cases and can't enjoy it. 😭
