Shelby never minded the gossip told on her and unless your her then you shouldn't worry about it. Besides Nobody here has trashed or bashed her. Most people have remembered her with fondness so get over it. Besides that, she lived the life she wanted and she did live it free and wild and that brought about the rumors so if you really have a problem with it, see her because she is the root of it. No pun intended!

Alot of women in this county was jealous of that woman. I have nothing bad to say about her, considered her a friend.

Unless she did a 180� 4 years ago then she was still in her line of work! Looked like she.took 'the hot mess express' in to 'disfuntion junction'! I had no use for her then & chances are I have no use now. So if she changed then halleil-frickin-louia! I seen her with my own to eyes 'working the room'.. So glad she in Fl. though!

She's not dead. She got married and lives in FL. She cleaned up her life and her and her husband were almost killed in a robbery in FL. Both were almost beat to death. Shelby wasn't as bad as people say. People like to add to their story to sound important. She was always a lot of fun at the bars around here. Just a girl that was a little different for her time. Now she wouldn't even be noticed with the wild girls around now. The only difference is that she made her living at it. The people who judge her don't really know her.

I went to high school with Shelby Jean and she was in one of my classes in during our freshmen year. Even then she had already established her career choice and was well into it. That was in the early 70's.

It's not that anyone is saying anything bad about the lady and it's certainly not the first time this topic has been here. We, GoWilkes could talk about it for the next month and never catch up to the gossips and rumors of the past that's been said a million times before.


If she was young now, and doing the same things, nobody would ever think twice about it. In fact her name to fame wouldn't even exist she wouldn't be the legend. She was a cool lady, people are not saying she was bad she just liked it and she didn't mind liking it! So what's so wrong about remembering someone that brought a lot of fun and excitement to a lot of people? She was an okay soul and she provided a lot of fun times for people!

I was just wondering, her child was nothing like her, and a always a good kid. If I wanted to bash any one I would have chose a local poster.

Well, just thank your lucky stars that we didnt plaster her last name on there... Pretty sure there's a couple of 'Shelby Jean's out there. I know a farmer that had a pig named Shelby Jean so your the one revieling her idenity.. Besides I'm sure the 'daughter' already heard about mommie dearest!! Tah-tah, bye bye then!

If anyone is personally offended by this post then go to the police and ask them to charge these people with bulling. Its the latest favorite crime of DA's.
