Crazy Mary was still driving a car in 1987. I know this because she t-boned me as I was driving up Main St. Wilkesboro one morning. She shot out from a side street then told that I hit her. I remember the officer told her the only way I could have hit her was if my car drove sideways. The cop who came to the accident totally lost his patience with her nutty behavior. She told the officer several times that she didn't want to report the accident to Stroud Miller because they didn't like her, confused her and never believed her. I could go on with more about that event but I won't. The last I heard she was at the Catherine Barber homeless shelter until she was thrown out for behavior issues, this was years ago.

No she didn't and a lot told on her was just part of the legend. Like I said if she was her today, young and did all the same things, I doubt a word would ever be said. She'd most likely be not in the running with some of these gals! ROFLMBO! And you're right when she was all cleaned up she was attractive and she was blessed in the upper!

As for Shelby, I know who she was but, I am to young to have to been part of the legend, I did see her one time right before she left here, she was cleaned up, and not a bad looking lady. there are people today that have done a whole lot worse than she did, it was just that she didn't hide it.

I talked to her several times in Wilkesboro at traffic lights. If you was nice to her, most of the time she was nice to you. That said, it was just the few times you'd catch her on a bad day and then it was on! ROFLMBO!

I saw crazy mary step out in to moving traffic one day and kick the crap out of the car that was in front of me, I had to swerve to miss her, had to be running 30-35 she was cussing the whole time. I thought for sure I would hit her but some how she stayed on her feet and i missed her.
